I founded LAinclusionista because I fundamentally believe that our differences are ultimately our greatest strengths.

I am passionate about creating workplaces where diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging are embedded into the fabric of an organization’s culture and leadership. My approach is collaborative, creative, courageous and caring. I listen deeply to understand my clients’ needs and equip them with strategies and tools to transform good intentions into concrete actions, setting the stage for employees to thrive, driving innovation and long-term success.

But passion and commitment alone are not enough. I also have proven leadership experience in the corporate and non-profit sectors and, as a dedicated life long learner, continually strive to grow my expertise. I enjoyed a 22-year career at Paramount Pictures and Viacom, having most recently served as Senior Vice President, Global Inclusion Strategy following roles in Corporate Responsibility, Public Affairs and Marketing. I earned my undergraduate degree in Politics with a certificate in Russian Studies from Princeton University and completed executive education programs in Corporate Responsibility at Harvard Business School and Leading Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Northwestern University.

Giving back to our community is core to who I am. Since 2022, I have served as an appointed Commissioner for the Los Angeles County Department of Arts & Culture, advocating for equity in the arts.  Because I believe in the power of representation in media, I have been a proud member of the nominating committee for the NAACP Image Awards as well as a judge for the Imagen Awards and the NAMIC Vision Awards. Additionally, I find tremendous fulfillment investing in young people as a volunteer with local non-profit organizations such as the Alliance Foundation,  Posse Foundation and Youth Mentoring Connection.

In my free time, you might find me traveling with my husband & family, exploring art, culture, cuisine and history around the world.

My pronouns are she/her/ella.

Anita Ortiz, Latina with brown hair and glasses, wearing a black dress and pink scarf
